Andre Pretorius
Andre Pretorius (born December 29, 1978 in Johannesburg, South Africa) is a former South African Rugby Union. His usual position is at fly-half, where he is currently under contract to Natal Sharks. He was crowned by his country's national team, the Springboks and was a member of the team World Cup 2007 which was crowned world champion. He also played at fullback. Pretorius is known to be a creative fly-half with a sidestep a super good vision and good distribution skills in addition to being a reliable goalkicker. However, it has also been criticized for its average defensive skills, which can be reduced to its small size. Pretorius made his international debut for the Springboks June 8, 2002 at fly-half against Wales in the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein. The Springboks won 34-19, with Pretorius kicked three conversions and a penalty goal. He played in the following 19-8 victory over the Welsh.He went on trial, five conversions and three penalties pronounced in his third game as the Springboks against Argentina.
