Allan Simonsen

Allan Simonsen Rodenkam (born December 15, 1952) is a Danish former football manager. He played most prominently for the German team Borussia Moenchengladbach, winning the 1975 and 1979 UEFA Cups, and for Barcelona of Spain, won the 1982 Cup Winners' Cup. Allan Simonsen is the only footballer to score in the European Cup, UEFA Cup, and "Winners' Cup final of the Cup, and was named 1977 European Footballer of the Year. For the national football team from Denmark, Simonsen has been capped 55 times, scoring 20 goals. He represented Denmark at the Summer Olympics of 1972, 1984 European Championship and 1986 World Cup tournaments. He was elected Danish Hall of Fame in November 2008. Born in Vejle, Simonsen started playing football with FC Vejle, before joining the youth team of the local top-flight club Vejle BK (VB) in 1963. He made his senior debut for VB in March 1971.He won the championship in 1971 and 1972 with the Danish club, and the Danish Cup 1972 to complete "The Double".
