Ahmad Tajuddin

Yang Maha Mulia Duli Sultan Ahmad Tajuddin Akhazul Khairi Waddien Ibni Almarhum Sir Sultan Mohammad Jamalul Alam II (commonly known as Sultan Ahmad Tajuddin) KBE (June 4th, 1913 - June 4, 1950) was the Sultan of Brunei 27 September 11, 1924 to death. After the death of his father, Sultan Muhammad Alam Jamalul II due to his young age of 11 years, the kingdom was temporarily occupied by a Regency Council whose membership consists of Pengiran Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman bendahara and Pengiran Anak Mohammad Yassin September 11, 1924 to Sept. 19, 1931. In 1927, he officially opened the road to Brunei-Tutong. It was during his reign that the British conglomerate Malayan Petroleum Company and Shell struck oil in Padang Berawa, now known as Seria. In 1932 he visited England. In 1941, the Japanese landed in Brunei and was given a pension by the Japanese army. In 1945, the federated army landed and released Brunei.In 1946, the Brunei National Anthem, God Peliharakan Sultan has been composed. He was knighted KCMG in tune with the King of the United Kingdom September 20, 1949 to commemorate its silver jubilee. He died in Paris while on his way
