Nobody knows where phenomenon of bad baby names comes from. However there has never been a better time for you if you choose traditional baby names.

Here are some examples of bad baby names: Pickle Parker, Church Bell, Ambyre, Jaylinn, Makenzee, Chicken Lamb, Jordynn, Maricatherine, Ima Payn, Butcher Baker, Gamble Moore, Candy Cane, Dark White, Magenta Rose, Beetle Bates, Space Buck and so on.

The baby’s names above are a bit complicated and required an imagination to be created. But here are some names that are also considered as bad. However they are quite simple.

No doubt that all parents want to choose the perfect name for their babies. However for the parents of twins or multiples it can be more difficult to make the right choice for two, three or more children. Naming one baby is hard enough. But in the case of twins, the parents have got twice the work to do.

In order to help the happy parents of twins, we are ready to offer you a few popular strategies for choosing names.

1. First of all it’s a good idea to use anagrams. For example you can take one name that you like. And then rearrange the letters to make another name. here are the examples of such names: Abel & Elba, Abelie & Bailee, Amy & May , Alan & Lana, Alfred & Fardel,, Antonia & Ionatan, Ira & Ria ,, Ashley & Elysha.

2. Also you can use such strategy as reversing names. Example – Nadia & Aidan

3. Names beginning with the same letter are a perfect choice! Example: Jacob & Joshua.

4. Moreover you can use names that rhyme or sound the same. It’s a good idea. But you should keep in mind that if the names sound similar, it will be difficult for your babies to learn their names by the sound.

5. Names with the same meaning. Examples: Lucy & Helen – meaning “Light”, Bernard & Brian – meaning “Strong”

6. Eventually, you can choosу the names that have no connection at all. Usually the parents try so hard in finding the right names that they forget that they can choose names that have no connection at all. Following this simple strategy, you can give your twins each a unique identity.

Also you can use the list of popular names for twins. Anyway, it’s your choice and surely you’ll the right one.

While choosing names for your newborn twins you can use the following list of the twin names. In this list you can find the most popular names in the USA in 2008.

No doubt that every parent wants to choose the perfect name for his or her baby. Sometimes parents prefer to choose a unisex name. A unisex baby name is a name that can be used both for a boy or a girl. Nowadays it’s really a popular strategy to use the unisex names. Parents choose unisex baby names for many reasons. For example it can be a name that goes well with the family name or a preferred middle or first name. Sometimes it happens that parents pick a name during pregnancy or before, and then after the birth of the baby they decide that this name will be the child’s name no matter what. Eventually it can simply be the name that parents like very much.

Some unisex names have historically been a boy’s names. But nowadays they are used more often as a girl’s name (example: Robin, Whitney) .

Some names are names for either sex, but you can usually tell which based on the spelling, again think Sidney (boy) and Sydney (girl).

Also there are names that you really can’t guess unless you’re changing the child’s diaper or they have a middle name that is extremely male or female (example:Taylor and Jordan).

You can find unisex names in the list of popular unisex names. We hope you’ll find a name that will suit your baby with the help of this list.

No doubt that every parent wants to give his child the best things he can. And the name isn’t an exception. Nowadays you can choose the traditional name. Or you can name your baby after the celebrity. Or you can create the name yourself. In this article you’ll find a lot of baby name ideas that I hope will help you in making your choice.

You should always keep a list of “Baby Name Ideas” handy in order to new names as they come to you. So divide this list into several sections. For example it can be: popular, traditional, trendy and family ideas. Also it’s a good idea tomake two separate lists with these categories. One list can be for the first baby name ideas. And the second can be for the middle baby name ideas.

Surely you’ll find trendy baby name ideas from the Hollywood celebrities. They are always the first to name their babies the latest and hottest names. Check out the social security list of baby names for the last several years. There you’ll get some baby name ideas for your popular list.

If you prefer something traditional then you should look to old family names for inspiraton. Do some research on the family tree. Call grandparents, great aunts and uncles and even cousins that might have researched the family tree when doing their own search for baby name ideas. Write down all names and any good stories your relatives might have about the relative that possessed that name.

Another way to find the name is to brainstorm with others. Sometimes a name that sounded adorable for you might bring up negative responses in others. And don’t forget to ask family and friends for names they can think of.

Surely you can find baby name ideas everywhere. Remember – keep your eyes and ears open. Be aware of names you see in the newspaper or a novel or magazine you are reading. Television is a good source of new baby names ideas too.

Also think about names of people you went to school with but aren’t friends with anymore or simply about people from your past who played a great role in your life. This might give you a name for your baby.

It’s really not a bad idea to navigate to popular Web sites like in order to find baby name generators and name guides.

At last your list is ready. So as the time gets closer to the birth of your baby, choose three – five names that really call to you and your partner. It’s really a good idea to practice saying the names in different situations. Imagine that you are calling your child to dinner, introducing the child to his teachers or hearing the child’s name announced for a reward. And finally, choose the baby name idea that best fits your new baby when he or she arrives.

It’s really a hard decision for every parent when it comes to naming the baby. No doubt that everyone wants his child to be lucky and healthy, and of course to posess good features of character. Surely the name is something that affects the future life of the baby. So please be careful and patient while making your choice. In order to help you let’s find out about name surveys. What names do modern parents prefer to choose?

Nowadays people are taking the world more seriously, affected by what is going on the world. So life is affecting decisions about naming children. Maybe that is why parents abandon unusual names for their children, opting instead for traditional names (U.S. survey).

In another survey parents where asked what they wanted a name to represent. The most important qualities for boys were strength, kindness and compassion compared to strength and individuality last year. For girls it was kindness, compassion, intelligence and strength compared to femininity and individuality last year.

Another interesting fact is that the majority of parents and parents-to-be believe a child’s name contributes to success in life. Surely a child should be proud of his name. And it should give self-confidence.

Nowadays more and more expectant parents prefer to choose baby names that honor relatives or other people important to them. I should also mention a growing interest in faith-related names, which may offer strength and encouragement in difficult times.

However a taste for solid and secure names isn’t preventing parents from looking beyond their own backyards – or cultural backgrounds – for the perfect baby name.

But for some parents-to-be the choice is extremely hard and they prefer the help Google.

But how do parents make theor final choice? Some moms-to-be usually have a list of potential baby names in mind. Almost the half of those moms end up using a name from their pre-pregnancy list while the rest goes with something else entirely. The majority of expectant parents aren’t waiting to see their babies before deciding on names in fact. And almost half of parents-to-be actually make their final name choice right after finding out the baby’s sex.

Nevertheless it doesn’t actually matter whether you go with a traditional, cross-cultural, or never-heard-of name. In any case it’s very likely that both you and your child will ultimately love tha name. Believe me, almost all parents are sure they’d choose the same name for their child if they had to do it over again. And the majority of parents who have kids old enough to express a preference will tell you that their children like the name that was inked on their birth certificate as well.

What does the word “numerology” mean? And how can it help in choosing the name for the baby? Let’s find out. Numerology is the method of assigning a numerical equivalent to each letter of the alphabet. It is based on the ideas of Greek mathematician Pythagoras. He thought that “all things can be expressed in numerical terms, because all things are ultimately reduced to numbers”.

Phyllis Vega writes “ The basic premise of numerology is concerned it says that everything in the universe is in motion and has its own rate of vibration.Words are made up of letters and every letter has a numeric equivalent. The sum total of the numerical equivalents of the letters in a word reveals its vibratory rate. The numbers in a name are like the musical notes in a song. Although each number carries its own message, the total of them all, when reduced to a single digit, is comparable to the dominant cord in the song.”

With the help of numerology parents can add piece of magic to the chosen name for their baby.

How to discover the numerical value of the word? You should place the number corresponding to each letter under that letter. Then add all the numbers together. Numbers with double digits are then added together to become single digits. This is an example of Pythagorean Conversion Table.

For example:
Ethan is 5+2+8+1+5 = 21
2+1=3. So Ethan’s numerical value is 3.

Each numerical value corresponds with particular traits and characteristics that numerologists have devised into several groups.

If your child’s name gets such numerical value as one, then some of his/her traits might include: aggressive, ambitious, assertive, creative, courageous, determined, daring, egocentric, generous, impatient, individualistic, impulsive, independent, a leader, original, selfish, self-reliant, competitive, independent thinker, self-centered and bossy. The example of the name of the first group is the name Payton .

The names from the second group could be described as balanced, cooperative, compassionate, considerate, diplomatic, deceptive, efficient, gracious, kind, moody, patient, receptive, reliable, sensitive, shy, sympathetic, tactful, tolerant and understanding. In this group you can find such names as Noah and Nina.

If your child is a number 3, his or her traits might include: adaptable, ambitious, creative, cheerful, communicative, enthusiastic, extravagant, flirtatious, generous, independent, kind, lucky, optimistic, popular, proud, superficial, talented, unpredictable, vain, versatile, self-expressive and hardworking. The examples of the names of the third group are such names as Addison, Owen and Ella.

The names from the forth group could be described as consistent, determined, frugal, industrious, loyal, organized, patient, practical, proud, punctual, reliable, serious, spiteful, stable, structured, stubborn, studious, thorough and a visionary. They’re typically builders and organizers. The group number four includes such names as names Lily, Jacob and David

In the fifth group you can find such names as Benjamin, Jayden and Olivia. People who’s names are in this group are often freedom-lovers. They are considered adaptable, alert, conceited, charming, clever, curious, flexible, flamboyant, hedonistic, irritable, intellectual, nervous, original, restless, resilient, sensual, uncertain, versatile and wasteful.

The names from the six group could be described as artistic, affectionate, consistent, complacent, considerate, concerned, domestic, dependable, egocentric, honest, jealous, kind, loyal, obstinate, refined, sociable, sensitive, sympathetic, thoughtful and vain. The names of this group are Aiden, Ava and Landon.

If your child’s name gets such numerical value as seven, then some of his/her traits might include: cunning, confused, creative, discretionary, deceitful, intellectual, imaginative, impractical, intuitive, independent, moody, have psychic ability, refined, spiritual, superficial and wise. Alexis, Isabella and Grace are all sevens.

Eights might be consistent, destructive, determined, greedy, industrious, leaders, loyal, materialistic, patient, practical, persevering, powerful, ruthless, reliable, tough, tenacious, unscrupulous and wealthy. The examples of the names are Eric or Karen.

And finally, the nines. The names from the ninth group are Emma, Aubrey, Danielle and Nicholas. These people can be bold, courageous, conceited, curious, creative, deceptive, energetic, fanatics, generous, hasty, impulsive, idealists, intelligent, ill-tempered, independent, philanthropists, resourceful, successful and spiritual.

Why do the celebrities choose such strange names for their babies? Who knows? Do they want extra portion of attention? Or do they want to show that they can name their kids anything they please? I think that we will never understand celebrity baby names. Moreover I hope we’ll never choose the same names for our babies.

Nowadays celebrity baby names are as important as the actual celebrity. If we speak about Hollywood, it’s absolutely true. The names of the newborn babies of the celebrities are usually the most important and covered news. And of course it is because these names are extremely strange and exotic. Here are some examples. Nicholas Cage has named his baby Kal-El after Superman. Jason Lee has named his child Pilot Inspektor. And so on. What about the name – Audio Science (a child of Shannyn Sossamon).

Some names include normal nouns like “Apple” (a child of Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow) and “Camera,” (a child of Arthur Ashe and Jeanne Moutoussamy).

Also the celebrities name their kids after foods (read more about pediatric dietitian).

But there are also celebrity kids that are unlike other celebrity baby names. Sylvester Stallone has named his child Sage Moonblood. Bono’s child name is Memphis Eve.

But the tradition of giving strange celebrity baby names for the kids isn’t a completely new trend. For example, Bob Geldof and Paula Yates named their daughter Fifi Trixibelle. Steven Spielberg named one of his children Destry.

Today many celebrities prefer to give their newborn girls the names using the names of girl celebrities of the past. These are such names as Ava (Gardner), Sophia (Loren), Olivia (de Havilland), Elizabeth (Taylor), Natalie (Wood), Grace (Kelly), and Audrey (Hepburn). Reese Witherspoon, Heather Locklear, and Hugh Jackman chose the name Ava for their daughters.

Despite the fact that celebrity baby names are sometimes strange, they have a great influence on the choice of the real life parents. There are several examples of popular names – Hazel (twin daughter of Julia Roberts), Eden (twin daughter of Marcia Cross, Cruz and Romeo (two of the Beckham sons). Also parents prefer to name their children not only after the babies of celebrities. They often give their kids the names of celebrity babies parents. Evangeline, as in Evangeline Lilly of Lost, Rihanna inspired by the Barbados-born singer, Scarlett (Johansson) and Angelina Jolie are extremely popular.

When it comes to choosing the perfect name for your baby, every family takes a different approach. Some parents choose an ordinary name. For others the choice isvery difficult thing and they prefer to choose something extraordinary and creative. But of course every parent wants to give his child a perfect name.

But how to find a creative and unique name for your child? No doubt that it requires lots of efforts. First of all check out the Social Security Office’s list of the most popular baby names. You can type in your name ideas and see where they rank on the list of most popular names. So you can find out if your name will be unique.

Then you should try combining family names. If you want to honour a relative, but you don’t like the fact that their name is common, use it for a middle name and have your own creative baby name as a first name.

Think about what are you and your spouse interested in. If you are fond why not to find a unique musical name. If you are an artist, then choose a creative artistic name.

It’s a good idea to research your families roots and backgrounds. Surely there are wonderful names from every country that might do beautifully.

Another way to create a name is to think of a word that just sounds nice or has a neat meaning. Then change the spelling to make it a name.

But be careful – make sure your name has a good meaning. As a loving parent you surely don’t want your child to be teased as he grows up. So try to make sure it doesn’t rhyme with anything kids can use to tease your child with.

If you eventually chose the name then answer the following questions and only then make up your mind.

What do you think about the name?

How might your child feel about the name at different stages of life?

Will the name fit within cultural norms?

Will your child be raised in a diverse cultural community or a rural community where unusual names may be less common?

Anyway if you do decide to give your baby an unusual name, you should have a back-up plan. Think about using a nickname while your child is little. How are you going to support your child if he or she is teased about her name in elementary and middle school? And keep in mind that once your child gets older and starts to find his or her identity, having a unique name will be considered cool and your child will likely embrace being different. Remember that now it is your decision. But your child will be the one wearing the name you choose for the rest of his life. And he will undoubtedly make it all his own.
