Celebrity Kids Names
Why do the celebrities choose such strange names for their babies? Who knows? Do they want extra portion of attention? Or do they want to show that they can name their kids anything they please? I think that we will never understand celebrity baby names. Moreover I hope we’ll never choose the same names for our babies.
Nowadays celebrity baby names are as important as the actual celebrity. If we speak about Hollywood, it’s absolutely true. The names of the newborn babies of the celebrities are usually the most important and covered news. And of course it is because these names are extremely strange and exotic. Here are some examples. Nicholas Cage has named his baby Kal-El after Superman. Jason Lee has named his child Pilot Inspektor. And so on. What about the name – Audio Science (a child of Shannyn Sossamon).
Some names include normal nouns like “Apple” (a child of Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow) and “Camera,” (a child of Arthur Ashe and Jeanne Moutoussamy).
Also the celebrities name their kids after foods.
But there are also celebrity kids that are unlike other celebrity baby names. Sylvester Stallone has named his child Sage Moonblood. Bono’s child name is Memphis Eve.
But the tradition of giving strange celebrity baby names for the kids isn’t a completely new trend. For example, Bob Geldof and Paula Yates named their daughter Fifi Trixibelle. Steven Spielberg named one of his children Destry.
Today many celebrities prefer to give their newborn girls the names using the names of girl celebrities of the past. These are such names as Ava (Gardner), Sophia (Loren), Olivia (de Havilland), Elizabeth (Taylor), Natalie (Wood), Grace (Kelly), and Audrey (Hepburn). Reese Witherspoon, Heather Locklear, and Hugh Jackman chose the name Ava for their daughters.
Despite the fact that celebrity baby names are sometimes strange, they have a great influence on the choice of the real life parents. There are several examples of popular names – Hazel (twin daughter of Julia Roberts), Eden (twin daughter of Marcia Cross, Cruz and Romeo (two of the Beckham sons). Also parents prefer to name their children not only after the babies of celebrities. They often give their kids the names of celebrity babies parents. Evangeline, as in Evangeline Lilly of Lost, Rihanna inspired by the Barbados-born singer, Scarlett (Johansson) and Angelina Jolie are extremely popular.
